History

2003

They released their first, and only, single "FIRST KISS", on the 29th October 2003. This song had suprised a lot of fans because of its maturity, and the good abilities of the young singers, especially Suzuki. The song appears on the compilation album "Pucchi Best 4", as the group didn't stay around long enough to release an album.

Tsunku chose this name because of all the feelings it refers to, presumably being in love.

During her time in this unit, Suzuki Airi was only nine years old, the youngest Hello! Project member to sing a major part in a unit. In 2005, she became part of the group °C-ute while Natsuyaki Miyabi joined Berryz Koubou in 2004. On October 31, 2003, Aa! appeared on the popular show "Music Station".

2006

Eventually, the group was no longer allowed to perform due to protests that the girls were to young to understand the meaning of their songs. In 2006, Tanaka and Suzuki teamed with another nkid from the Hello! Project Kids, Murakami Megumi, for the song "Suki ni Naccha Ikenai Hito", one of the coupling tracks on the H.P. All Stars' "ALL FOR ONE & ONE FOR ALL!" single. The track is credited to the individual participants, but many fans have informally referred to this grouping as "Aa! Version 2."

2007

The status of the group as a recording unit is unknown, since they have not released anything since their single in 2003, but the original lineup "reformed" for live performances in 2007.

2009

The Hello!Project album, Chanpuru 1 ~Happy Marriage Song Cover album~, features Aa! but with a lineup of Natsuyaki Miyabi, Suzuki Airi and Saho Akari. Tanaka Reina is instead featured as a member of High-King who are also on the album.
