Hello! Project
From J-Ongaku
Hello! Project (ハロー！プロジェクト), often shortened to H!P, H.P. or Hello! Pro (ハロプロ), is the name for a collection of female Japanese pop groups and singers produced by Tsunku, a member of Sharan Q. Managed under Up-Front, the majority of its artists are signed under the zetima, PICCOLO TOWN, and hachama labels, but there are several artists who are under different labels (e.g. PONY CANYON,etc.).
Morning Musume is considered the flagship group of Hello! Project, with a number of ex-Morning Musume having formed the majority of the soloist line-up, prior to their graduation from Hello! Project. Besides the main groups and solo artists that form H!P's line-up, various special units are formed by mixing these groups and soloists to form new temporary groups (e.g. DEF.DIVA, Gomattou and more recently Guardians 4, etc).
There were also Shuffle Units (usually consisting of all the current H!P members shuffled into three units for the summer) that were formed annually until 2006, when this tradition was seemingly dropped. In 2009, revival units of old H!P groups were formed in a similar manner of shuffling all H!P members, so many fans have since taken the view that this is the new generation's shuffle units.
In 2006, Hello! Project was split into two divisions—Elder Club and Wonderful Hearts—for the purpose of each performing their own Winter and Summer concerts and then ending with a joint concert of both divisions. However, in October 2008 it was announced that all of Elder Club would graduate from Hello! Project on March 31, 2009. The ceremony for their graduation took place on the final day of the Hello! Project 2009 Winter Kettei! Haro☆Pro Award '09 ~Elder Club Sotsugyou Kinen Special~ concert tour, on February 2nd, 2009.
Hello! Project now consists of the current members of Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, °C-ute, S/mileage and Hello Pro Eggs along with soloist Mano Erina.

Hello! Project DVD Magazines and DVD Pamphlets are DVDs sold as goods at Hello! Project concerts, sports festivals and sometimes, stage plays (except for Def. Diva's only DVD magazine). Sometimes different DVD magazines are sold in the same event, for example, in a later date of a concert tour. They usually include footage of (either or mixed) interviews, games, quizzes, photo shoots, rehearsals and concerts backstage.

Hello! Project Member Colors
Frequently, members of Hello! Project groups will have colors assigned to them for their concert goods and sometimes outfits. Currently, only the "Wonderful Hearts" groups have standard colors.
Morning Musume
Morning Musume members did not have standard colors before Morning Musume Concert Tour 2005 Haru - Dai 6 kan Hit Mankai, Ishikawa Rika's graduation in 2005, however some frequently did have the same color for each concert. Since then, each member has been assigned a color.
