Ice CreaMusume

Ice CreaMusume (アイスクリー娘。) are known in Taiwan as Bing Qi Lin Shao Nu Zu (冰淇淋少女組。). They are the first group in Hello! Project to consist entirely of members from Taiwan (or from any other Asian country).

Members
Each member was given an ice cream flavor to represent and a nickname to go by in Japan.
- ShenShen (シェンシェン) - Leader, Blueberry
- Anchii (アンチー) - Sub-leader, Coffee
- PeiPei (ペイペイ) - Vanilla
- Youko (ヨウコ) - Strawberry
- ReiRei (レイレイ) - Mint-chocolate
- Guuchan (グーチャン) - Mango
History
In May 2008, it was announced that there would be an audition in Taiwan in search of new members for Hello! Project. The audition was to start on May 24 and last for three months, and Tsunku would participate in choosing the winners. The auditions were televised on TTV starting from June 7.
On September 20, four winners were chosen from the finalists of the audition: Zhào Guó Róng (Youko), Céng Dé Píng (PeiPei), Wú Sī Xuán (ShenShen) and Gǔ Yún (Guuchan). In addition to those four, two other girls who had previously been eliminated from the competition were named as winners: Zhōng An Qí (Anchii) and Qiu Cui Ling (ReiRei).
Anchii and ReiRei were both chosen to participate in a Wildcard round to compete for a chance at being put back into the audition. They were once again eliminated, but were given yet another chance when seven eliminated girls were chosen to participate in a training camp. The training camp would consist of three rounds (general training, singing and an interview). Three of the girls were selected to have an interview with Tsunku, in which he ended up being impressed by both Anchii and ReiRei and decided to choose them as winners.
In November 2008, the six girls were taken to Japan for training, and on Novemer 21 it was announced that their group name would be Ice CreaMusume (Bing Qi Lin Shao Nu Zu in Taiwan). Tsunku's reason for choosing the name was explained by Ice CreaMusume's manager (R-san) on their blog:
The official name of the group formed by ShenShen, Anchii, PeiPei, Youko, ReiRei, Guuchan is...
Ice CreaMusume.
This name was personally given by Tsunku-san
Showing that the member's styles are sweet and varied like flavors of ice cream, and when combined, it becomes a super unique combination
And, to show how much he values this group, he used the Musume. from Morning Musume., and became Ice CreaMusume

It was also announced that they would debut with a mini-album entitled 1st best, which would be released in Taiwan and Japan on different dates.
On December 18, 2008, the group's official blog opened. Each member writes individual entries (that are posted both in Mandarin and Japanese), where they mostly talk about their experience of going to Japan and starting the activities of the group.
