Morning Musume Sakura Gumi

Morning Musume Sakura Gumi (モーニング娘。さくら組 ) is one of two subgroups that Morning Musume was split into in 2003 so that they could perform in smaller concert venues. The other group was Morning Musume Otome Gumi. In addition to touring separately, each subgroup also released two singles.
"Sakura Gumi" means "Cherry Blossom Group." To reflect the image of cherry blossoms, Sakura Gumi's songs were slow ballads. They were the more successful of the two groups.
